Summary
The research group Experience in the Premodern Sciences of Soul and Body examines the dynamic interactions between experience and scientific inquiry. By reevaluating historical scientific practices, the researchers develop philosophical foundations that highlight the role of the scientific subject for neuroscience and AI. Their approach of relational rationality broadens the understanding of science as a cultural-historical phenomenon and elucidates the ontology and function of human cognition. This provides new perspectives and transformative insights for contemporary science.
