The Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne announces the position of Director (m/f/d)

The Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research is seeking an outstanding scientist to head a department and establish a world-leading research programme in pioneering science in plant cell biology and related areas. We seek individuals with an international reputation and a proven track record in the field who are able to inspire the research of junior scientists including graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and group leaders. Excellent resources will be provided in terms of laboratory infrastructure, equipment and running costs. The appointee will also contribute to the scientific leadership and management of the institute by working closely with the other three Directors. The working language is English and qualified individuals of all nationalities will be considered.

Remuneration is internationally competitive and negotiable.
