Solar magnetic activity; solar variability and its influence on Earth’s climate; solar activity in historical and pre-historical times; structure and dynamics of the solar atmosphere; instrumentation for space-, balloon- and ground-based solar observations; observations and theory of stellar magnetism, activity and variability
