Research Fellow (Postdoc) (m/f/d) for Scandinavia

Our Institute is a research facility established by the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science. The Department of Social Law is devoted to basic research in the field of foreign and international social law. We are currently seeking to fill the vacancy for a Research Fellow / Postdoc (m/f/d) for Scandinavia. The position is offered for an initial period of three years.

Your tasks

As a Research Fellow (Postdoc) you will contribute to the fundamental research of the Institute by participating in various projects. You will also have the possibility to conduct your own research projects. The research projects of our Institute focus on the welfare state by applying the methods of comparative analysis. European, international and constitutional law are all taken into account in this context. Your main area of research will be on social law in the Scandinavian countries. Specifically, you will be in charge of our country section "Denmark, Norway and Sweden".

Your profile

For this position, we expect candidates to possess an outstanding knowledge of the law and prefer those with experience in conducting scientific research. Candidates should be committed and dedicated to their work. All candidates must have a very good command of spoken and written English and of at least one of the national languages of the country section you are covering.

Remuneration is based on the Wage Agreement of the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) and depends on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
